Gordon MacLellan was on the Edmund Fitzgerald for 5 years and worked as a wiper. He was short and stocky, and always had a smile on his face. He also loved hot dogs. He had gone to school to become a pastry chef, so he could make some desserts, too. Gordon's parents lived in Clearwater, Florida at the time of the wreck and he was building his home in Presque Isle, so he would travel back and forth between traveling on the Fitzgerald.
